Masai Mara

Situated in South-west Kenya, Maasai Mara (Masai Mara) is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. With a latitude of 1.4433° S and longitude of 35.2081° E, the total area protected in the Greater Maasai Mara ecosphere is nearly 1,510 km2 (580 sq mi). It is the northern section of Tanzania’s and Kenya’s 25,000 km2 (9,700 sq mi) Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is surrounded in the south by the Serengeti National Park, to the west by the Siria / Oloololo escarpment, and in the north, east, and west by Maasai pastoral ranches. It has an elevation of 1,500–2,180 m, a temperature range of about 12–30 °C, and rainfall of about 1400 mm yearly. The Masai Mara witnesses two rainy seasons: the short showers are in November and December and the long showers are in March-May. The long shower season is a great time for photography as well

Kabini

Formerly known as Kakanakote, the lush wilderness in the southernmost area of the ever-famous Nagarahole National Park, is about 5 hours by road from Bengaluru and around 2 hours from Mysuru. The scenery as you drive through the bush to your destination is beautiful, with greenery on all sides and a canopy of trees providing shade as you drive by. If you’re lucky, you could see numerous types of deer, as well as multiple species of birds, Indian Gaur, and even Asiatic Elephants.

Gajoldoba

A quiet village on the western bank of the raging Teesta River, is famed for its dam in the Teesta basin. It is located 10 kilometres from Siliguri, adjacent to the Baikunthapur forest. Gajoldoba is located in the western south of the Himalayan foothills, between the Mahananda and Teesta rivers.

Gajoldoba is well-known for being the site of the first irrigation reservoir created in the Teesta basin. The shop frame is surrounded by the Baikunthapur forest, a Terai forest zone in the South Himalayan foothills that is home to the pachyderm, offering the ideal environment for blooming avifauna, making Gajoldoba a birder’s dream. Winter is considered to be the best season to visit because during the months of November to March

Rongtong

Rongtong is a little hamlet in the midst of nature, known for its rich greenery and scenic beauty. Rongtong, located 17 kilometers from Siliguri and a few kilometers from Sukna, is a popular location for lowlanders and visitors visiting Darjeeling. Rongtong certainly lives up to its name as a must-visit location in North-East Bengal.
The route to Rongtong passes through the Mahanada Wildlife Sanctuary and the Sukna Forest Reserve, making it a good location for bird-watching. While heading toward Rongtong, it is possible to see Himalayan Bulbul, Spangled Drongo, Black-Crested Bulbul, Scarlet Minivet, Serpentine Eagle, Shikra, Golden-fronted leaf birds, and Green Bee-eater, rendering it a bird watcher’s paradise.

Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary

Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary is positioned on the outskirts of Darjeeling, approximately 10-15 kilometres from the main town. It is one of India’s oldest wildlife sanctuaries, with a total size of 38.6 km2 (14.9 sq mi). The altitude varies between 1,500 and 2,600 meters (4,900 to 8,500 ft).

Bera

A tiny hamlet in Rajasthan, is located between Udaipur and Jodhpur in the Pali District. It is part of a much bigger land mass known as Jawai Bandh, which is home to a variety of animal and avian species. Jawai, named after the Jawai River, is currently a popular tourist destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Because it is located near the dam, the surrounding region is sometimes referred to as Jawai Dam.

Nagarhole National Park

The Nagarhole National Park, famously known as the Rajiv Gandhi National Park, is located in the Karnataka districts of Mysore and Coorg. It has a total area of 865 square kilometres and has two tourism zones where guests are permitted for game viewing. The Sunkadakatte Tourism Zone, which includes a length of the Kabini River, is located on the Park’s Southwestern edge.
The reserve has a high flora and fauna variety and is bordered on the southeastern side by the Bandipur Tiger Reserve and on the southwest by the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary of Kerala. The habitat is protected by the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
